Every LAN transfer uses AES-256-GCM with a session key derived locally — it never leaves your machine. Online transfers run over WebRTC's built-in DTLS. Nothing is ever readable on the wire.

Files under 5MB go over WebRTC — fast and direct. Anything larger automatically switches to WebTorrent: chunked, verified, retry-able. You pick a file and click send. The routing is invisible.
